Multi-Language Voice Control RaspberryPi Car

This project was undertaken as part of the final project for CS437 Internet of Things.

As technology advances, there is a need to create more versatile devices beyond one-dimensional ones like toy cars and drones. While voice-controlled devices like Amazon's Alexa have revolutionized human-technology interaction, their limitation in understanding multiple languages restricts user interaction. To address this, a multi-language IoT device is proposed, aiming to provide internationalization and inclusivity for non-English speakers. The project aims to develop a multi-language Raspberry Pi Alexa voice-controlled Picar integrated with AWS IoT, leveraging AWS Translate and Polly services to enable diverse and inclusive voice communication. This project expands on existing frameworks that typically focus on single-language communication between Alexa and Raspberry Pi, emphasizing the importance of creating devices that understand and respond in multiple languages in our diverse world.
